‘It’s Not A Myth’ is a joyful and educational campaign that celebrates forgotten figures from Scotland’s Black history. Incorporating Black history into the Scottish identity by using our national animal, the unicorn. The focus of this campaign is to educate the public and tourists through interactive and engaging installations and touchpoints, from the unicorn walking trail, campaign emoji, filters and merchandise designed to involve all ages with the campaign. Whilst we are aware that an engaging campaign is a key component to drive change, this campaign will also petition to have a more extensive and representational national curriculum, by incorporating Scotland’s vast Black History into everyday learning throughout school age groups.
