Signs of melanoma in people of colour and black skin are most commonly seen on fingernails, palms, and soles of feet.  75% of cases are spotted by family or friends, only 25% by doctors. This is due to a lack of awareness amongst patients and medical professionals.

‘Nailing Skin Cancer’ will increase awareness and diagnoses by bringing health education into nail salons.

Not only do technicians get up close with hands and feet, but clients usually visit the salon every 2-3 weeks, more regularly than seeing a doctor. Spec work for D&AD New Blood Awards 2021.
